As the Harper and Keele Veterinary School grows, we are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced to support the delivery of veterinary sciences modules within the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery programme. Reporting to the programme director, the post holder will contribute to a variety of lectures, tutorials, workshops and practical teaching activities in the programme, focussing on the technical and clinical skills fundamental to the practice of veterinary medicine.  This role will support student skill development as they progress from basic animal handling and management through to early clinical and technical skill development in their preparation for the clinical phase of the programme.

This role would suit somebody looking to develop an academic career or as preparation for those looking to further postgraduate veterinary training in this area. 

The appointee will be expected to deliver face-to-face lectures, tutorials and practical classes on both the Harper Adams and Keele University sites, regardless of whichever site becomes their nominal home base, and also to participate in streamed lectures and lecture capture.

A candidate who does not currently have a teaching qualification will be supported to achieve at least a postgraduate certificate in higher education within three years of employment.

The Harper & Keele Vet School is a joint venture between Harper Adams and Keele Universities, bringing together two distinctive institutions with a track record of excellence in teaching and student experience to provide an exciting opportunity for veterinary students to train, making use of resources at each campus and at partner sites including multiple vet practices and farms. 

This role will require regular travel between Keele University and Harper Adams University campuses.
