Clinical Educator in Veterinary Physiotherapy (fixed term 9-month maternity cover)

Harper Adams University seeks two highly motivated veterinary physiotherapists with primary interests in equine and canine physiotherapy practice to join the veterinary physiotherapy team on fixed term contracts as maternity cover for 9 months from 1 October 2021 until 30 June 2022. These posts are part-time, working two days per week from 8am to 6pm.

The appointees will have specific roles in the delivery of the veterinary physiotherapy programme area, with one clinical educator focused mainly on equine clinical physiotherapy, and the other focused on canine clinical physiotherapy.  As part of the programme there will be an on-going and increasing need to provide veterinary physiotherapy clinics on the university campus and to teach clinical veterinary physiotherapy through ambulatory equine clinics in the local area. The suitable candidate will have a leading role in the organization and operation of these clinics to treat animals and teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the clinical setting. There may be an occasional need to work at weekends to cover teaching, assessment and university open day commitments.

It is essential the successful candidate holds an undergraduate or postgraduate degree qualification in Veterinary Physiotherapy and that they have high-level clinical physiotherapy skills. It is essential that the successful candidate can work within in a team and also has a high level of interpersonal skills.
