Harper Adams University is looking to recruit a Café Supervisor. You will play a key role in the management and service of food and drink within the catering department. This café serves specialty tea`s & coffee`s akin to a high street coffee store. You will also be responsible for the opening, closing and security of the café including the stock and payments.
The main duties of the role include;
- Setting up the Café offering in accordance to department standards.
- Compliance and management of the Department’s Food Safety System.
- Managing Staff under your supervision.
- Coaching and on the job training of staff.
- Consistently delivering a professional and efficient service to our customers.
- Ensuring a professional and hygienic appearance of both yourself and the staff under your supervision.
- Ensuring cleaning and closing down procedures are carried out and documented.
- Ensuring defects of buildings or equipment are reported in the correct manner.
- Produce innovative food & beverages well merchandised & displayed.
- Be prepared to help out (Where possible) with special events i.e. Graduation, Open Days and Royal Visits.
- All other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the post and the salary range of the grade.
The applicant must possess a standard level of education, a relevant hygiene qualification and previous experience in food handling and preparation.
