The Hands Free Farm team based at Harper Adams University are looking for an Autonomous Farm Operations and Systems Development Officer to plan and conduct field operations.

The role will involve responsibility for preparation and monitoring of autonomous field operations as well as for monitoring field and crop conditions during the growing session. The role will also involve assisting the development engineers as they adapt agricultural machinery into autonomous systems.

The successful candidate will hold agricultural qualifications and have experience of mechanised agriculture. Some experience for mechanical maintenance and precision farming systems is also desirable. 

Most importantly is a proactive approach with a  readiness to work as part of a dynamic team in solving problems and overcoming challenges as they arise.
