The Opportunity
This post represents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development & delivery of our Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine & Surgery programme. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, rapidly growing team as we continue to shape the delivery of our innovative curriculum designed to meet the changing needs of the veterinary sector.
The successful candidate will play an active role in BVetMS programme team, contributing to learning and teaching activities across Years 1 & 2 of the programme with scope to teach into areas such as animal management, behaviour, welfare & ethics and population medicine, dependant on skill set. The post holder will be expected to deliver lectures, tutorials and practical classes on both the Harper Adams and Keele campuses, and will be required to participate in lecture streaming and lecture capture. The successful candidate will have the ability to contextualise pre-clinical taught material to clinical veterinary medicine.
The successful candidate will be a qualified animal scientist or veterinary surgeon, preferably with experience of teaching and supporting learning. Candidates who do not currently have a teaching qualification will be supported to achieve at least a postgraduate certificate in higher education, and would be expected to achieve this within 3 years of appointment.
This role will require regular travel between Keele University and Harper Adams University campuses.
