Harper Adams University are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and proactive Assistant Librarian to join our friendly team.

You will be working in a busy environment and as an Assistant Librarian, you will play a key role in supporting the learning, teaching and research needs of our users. You will develop subject-specific information resources and support for learning and teaching in a designated course area. This will include the development and delivery of face to face and online support, advice and guidance, as well as teaching information and digital literacies. You will also work closely with the Deputy Head, Library Services to provide high quality, robust library management systems that facilitate search, discovery and delivery of resources to our community. You will be expected to support the full range of library operations, including document supply and circulation.  

You will be user-focused, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be a great team player. You will be self-motivated, able to demonstrate good IT skills and be keen to embrace new technologies as well as new ways of working. 

As this post will equip the postholder with a range of practical library experience at professional level, it is suitable for those qualified or those working towards qualification.  

This is a full-time, fixed term post, until 31 December 2023.
